support mu chapter
There are two ways to make a contribution for the benefit of Mu Chapter: through the Alumni Annual Fund or through the Delta Tau Delta Educational Foundation.
Donations through the Annual Fund - The George Kratt Alumni Fund
Alumni dues contributions may be made annually to the George Kratt Alumni Fund. Your dollars help us publish Mu Murmurs, maintain our website, host alumni functions during Homecoming and Alumni Weekends, and have a reserve fund needed to furnish and maintain the Shelter. Regular dues are $50 a year, but any amount is appreciated.
Dues are payable to Mu House Corporation through PayPal by clicking on the secure link below. Dues are not tax deductible.

About George Kratt
In 2010, Mu Chapter lost one of its most loyal members. Brother George Kratt ’41 passed away on September 15, 2010. Generations of Mu Brothers can surely recall the frequent trips Mr. Kratt made to Delaware for anything from Alumni Weekend to Presidents Dinners to just visiting with the chapter members. In addition to serving as Delta Tau Delta’s Alumni IFC delegate for 30+ years, he, and his brother, James Kratt (‘47) also attended nearly every Karnea from 1958 to 2008. Brother Kratt was truly the epitome of a Good Delt, and one can only hope to contribute so much to so many during a lifetime. As a tribute to Mr. Kratt, we have named the Mu Chapter Annual Fund in his honor.
Donations through the DTD Educational Foundation - The W. Edgar West Educational Fund
The W. Edgar West Educational Fund is maintained by the Delta Tau Delta Educational Foundation and was set up to solely benefit Mu Chapter. All gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law, just like any other donation to the Foundation.
Through the W. Edgar West Educational Fund, Mu Chapter can award scholarships to our members or pay for their expenses to attend Conferences, Leadership Academies, Karnea and many other educational opportunities (for a full list of acceptable uses of the funds, click here). Your gift, even though designated for Mu’s benefit, still counts toward your lifetime giving level and is treated no differently than any other gift you’ve made to the Foundation, other than it goes solely to benefit Mu Chapter.
To all of our members that make an annual donation to the Educational Foundation, we are asking that you designate your gift for the benefit of Mu Chapter in the check memo line. All you need to do is write “designated for the W. Edgar West Educational Fund” or “designated for Mu Chapter’s fund” in the memo line of your check or in the "Other" box on the "How to Use Your Gift" page when making an online contribution. This will allow your gift to go into our fund, instead of the Educational Foundation's general fund.
Currently we have a little over $10,000 in our fund. We must maintain $25,000 in the fund at all times for the Foundation to continue administering it. We have until the end of 2012 to reach the $25,000 level, so it's critical that all of Mu Chapter's members designate their gift to the W. Edgar West Educational Fund. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our education fund, please contact House Corp Treasurer Corey Baker.

About W. Edgar West
W. Edgar (Ed) West, Mu '23, was Secretary-Treasurer of the House Corporation for nearly two decades. Ed Heminger '48 states, "He was in effect, our chapter adviser." Ed was treasurer of Nationwide Insurance Company and was on the Arch Chapter as Secretary of the Fraternity in the early 1950s. Brother West was serving in both roles as Treasurer and Arch Chapter Secretary at the time of the Shelter dedication in 1962, and was actively involved in the fund drive. He was at the heart the campaign to make the Shelter a reality, and for that we are thankful.
