Edwin L. Heminger, 1926-2011
Edwin L. Heminger, 1926-2011
Brother Edwin L. Heminger, Mu '48 entered the Chapter Eternal on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at his home in Findlay, Ohio.

Mr. Heminger's prominence has led to numerous articles and memorials being written in his honor. Mu alumni all know the significance Mr. Heminger played in the role of the fraternity and specifically our chapter. I can say that after attending the visitation last night, it was humbling to hear from every one of Ed’s children and grandchildren how much Delta Tau Delta truly meant to him, and the fond memories he held along with those of his children and grandchildren. It was evident by the immense number of people attending his visitation that Ed was a highly respected and regarded man.  Below you will find links to his obituary and a few of the articles that have been written about him over the past few days.

The family has requested that contributions to his memory be made to The Delta Tau Delta Educational Foundation. If you are so inclined to make a contribution, please remember that your donation can be directed to the W. Edgar West Educational Fund which can be used to directly benefit Mu Chapter. Mr. Heminger was instrumental in the creation of this fund and he would surely appreciate the gesture.

-Mike Brenner Mu '99, House Corporation Treasurer

During his 60+ years as a brother of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, Ed Heminger held many roles, including Mu Chapter House Corporation President, Delta Tau Delta International President (1972-1974), and National Interfraternity Council President (1986).
